    • Obituary: Clenton Allen, 94, of Maynard passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Randolph Home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born July 29, 1930 in Walnut Ridge to the late Clarence Robert and Addie Elizabeth McGee Allen. Clenton was an Army veteran, having served in Korea where he earned a purple heart. He also worked as a farmer and then for TRW Cinch. He enjoyed woodworking and other crafts including making walking canes, flutes, and bird houses. In later years he enjoyed coloring and sharing his art with others. He was a longtime member of the Maynard Church of Christ. Clenton was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Geneva Mae Rainwater Allen; son, Clenton Allen, Jr; grandson, Joshua Dale Allen; brothers, Waymon, Thomas, and Albert Allen; and sisters, Wonetta Henson and Onetta Tunstall. Clenton is survived by his son, Dale Allen of Dalton; daughters, Phyllis (Eddie) Jones of Pocahontas, June Allen of Jonesboro, Debra (Lewis Reinhold) Allen of Maynard, and Sherry Huskey of Pocahontas; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Luther Allen of Walnut Ridge; sisters, Estelene Sebourn of Kensett, and Evelene (Paul) Ragsdale of Hoxie; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10-11 AM at the Maynard Church of Christ with a funeral service beginning at 11 AM with Ligie Waddell and Phillip Rainwater officiating. Burial will follow in Northside Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Chad Dooley, Nick Allen, Caleb Allen, Jacob Allen, Chris Reinhold, and Travis Huskey.
