Ida’s family lived on Wright Road. Arthur and Ida made their home in Winston Salem near their first jobs at R.J. Reynolds. They soon longed for life back on the farm and moved to land adjoining Thomas Wright. They had learned the ways of farming from early childhood experiences. To supplement income from the family farm, Arthur went to work as a section-hand on the new railroad and worked in the Emmons Mine. About 1920, he began growing tobacco as a money crop to bring in additional revenues for his family. By the late 1930's, Arthur abandoned the farming of tobacco and began a dairy farm. He kept his dairy farm until his death in 1966. Their children Margie and Luther remained on the homeplace after their parents’ passed away and kept up the family farm on Cid Road.

    Name:
    The Bible listed they married in 1875. She was b. 28 Dec 1859 (Tombstone and Bible), dau. of Osborne and Sallie (Kepley) Hunt and d. 21 Apr 1949. Mary's middle name was given on son David's marriage licence. The Bible Records of Davidson Co., NC Compiled by the Genealogical Society of Davidson Co., NC, listed the "Notes from Family Bible of Lemmuel Lambeth, by Nancy Drozd on 24 Nov 1977. 1 visited Arthur Lambeth (Ida Lambeth Wright's brother) at his home on Jolly Road. He had a Bible that belonged to his father. He kept it in a paper bag with a string around the Bible itself as the Bible was falling to pieces. The middle section had births & marriages in it.* Arthur told Nancy Drozd that Lewis, Alvin, Emmer and himself are only ones still living in 1977. Emmer is still working at public work. Maude md. a Parish; Jane md. Bob Grubb. Arthur said that Lemmuel Lambeth d. 31 Oct 1947 of heart problems and broken hip. He had fallen off the porch while Arthur was plowing with the mules. He said the man never once complained of hurting. He told Arthur he was ok; but when Arthur reached to help pick him up, he couldn't stand on his legs and asked to be placed in the bed after his shoes and clothes were off. He wouldn't ear then or the next day as he said he just wasn't hungry. Arthur sent for the doctor. Doctor at first said he needed to go to the hospital, but later changed his mind when he felt his uneven heart beat and expressed that the man would probably not live to (reach] the hospital and would be very heart broken by leaving home. Two days after the fall, he died. Before he died, he asked for two biscuits in very sweet coffee and ate all of it. Then he asked for a glass of water and died peacefully. He is buried at Clarksbury Church. His wife died about 1 1/2 years later. She had a stroke and died in Apr 1949. Lemmuel was a farmer all year around. Raised vegetables & wheat. In winter, he would split logs by ax for the railroad. According to the Cemetery Records of Davidson Co., NC, Vol. 11, Southern Section, p. 216: Osborne Hunt Cemetery, located on left-hand side of Wright road south on called "Little hillside just past Hogg Branch (locally called "Little Uhwarrie"). It is across the road from the house that burned that belonged to Everett Lambeth on the property formerly owned by Osborne Hunt. A description of the cemetery's two graves with no markers are: "Many rocks piled up and briars growing on top of graves. Located in middle of cleared land and siteable from Wright Road. Arthur Lambeth said that Osbome Hunt and his wife were buried in the graves. Other people in the area agreed with Arthur. Osborne's daughter, Mary Hunt, married Lemmuel Lambeth. Lemmuel Lambeth lived beside of Osborne Hunt. Lemmuel Lamberth was Arthur Lambeth's father. Submitted by: Nancy Drozd as listed on 3 Aug 1981.

C1822, NC and d. 27 Jul 1887, age 65y 9m 27d, bur. next to Elizabeth at Liberty Bapt. Church Cem. He was younger by some eleven years or more than Elizabeth. In 1860 census she was 60y and he was 49y. Samuel was a farmer. Elizabeth had two children from each marriage.

    John Fritts (1780) 'G'-1 JOHN FRITTS, first son of George (1753) and wife Mary JOHN FRITTS, (Wilson) Fritts, , born 7 May 1780 in Rowan County, North Carolina according to family Bible records. He died 24 February 1841 and was buried at the Pilgrim Reformed Church Cemetery near Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina. John was married about 1806 to Rebecca Younts. She was born 19 September 1785 in North Carolina. Her Will was dated 10 May 1846 and she died sometime after 1850. According to her Will, son, John Jr. (1813) was to get the use of the blacksmith tools of his father. John Jr. died in 1854, and the tools probably went to Hiram or Amos. John (1780) was a farmer and blacksmith. At the time of his death 281½ acres were divided among his ten children. All of the children were born in North Carolina. We found in the War of 1812 Muster Rolls for North Carolina two Johns. One served in the Rowan County Fourth Regiment - #36 John Frits. The other served in Burke County Second Regiment - #45 John Fritt, they are possibly the same man.
