- Obituary: Wonetta Rachel Allen Henson, 86, of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the Five Rivers Medical Center, in Pocahontas. Wonetta was born on Tuesday, October 4, 1932, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Clarence and Addie McGee Allen.
Wonetta was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, cousin, neighbor, and friend. She considered the Church of God of Prophecy on Convent Street, in Pocahontas, her church home.
Wonetta is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Addie McGee Allen; husband, Charles Rolland Henson; son, Byron Henson; daughter, Brenda Vandergriff; brothers, Waymon, Tom, and Albert Allen; and grandsons, Bryon Henson, and Bobby Lynn Tate.
Wonetta is survived by two sons, Frank (Linda) Henson, of Pocahontas, and Ely "Randy" (Gail) Henson, of Pocahontas; two daughters, Barbara (Sam) Smith, of Pocahontas, and Betty (Doug) Blevins, of Newport; two brothers, Luther (Joan) Allen, of Walnut Ridge, and Clenton Allen, of Maynard; three sisters, Estelene Sebourn, of Kensett, Evelene (Paul) Ragsdale, of Hoxie, and Onetta Tunstall, of O'kean; grandchildren, Chris (Linda) Smith, Amanda (Clay) Harris, Tonya (Isaac) Haigwood, Michelle Henson, Jessie (Willie) Pinkston, Jamie Pattin, Gary (Betty) Tate, and Mark Henson; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
