He was the oldest regular attending member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where he had been a member for 65 years. Son of the late Daniel and Laura Jones Garrett. Preceded in death by: sisters, Ida Moore, Dove Buxton, Ada Bowers; brothers, Herbert and Charlie Garrett. Interment Elizabeth Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg.
