    • Obituary: 8 Mar 1923, Downs, Kansas; MRS. SARAH M. COPPLE-BECK Sarah M. Copple was born in Davidson county, N. C., on April 11, 1846. She was converted early in life and united with the Liberty Baptist church. On the 13th day of March, 1866, she was united in marriage to W. L. Beck. To this union was born two children, Samuel Beck of Downs and Minnie B. Rector of Manhattan. The family moved to Downs in the year 1885, where they resided until February, 1922, when Mr. Beck passed away. Since that time Mrs. Beck has made her home with her children. She had been practically an invalid for six years. On February 15th she fell, breaking a hip, which, with other complications, caused her death. She leaves to mourn her departure two children, three grandchildren, three sisters, one brother and a host of friends.

    Sarah married Beck, William Lindsay on 13 Mar 1866 in Davidson County, North Carolina, USA. William (son of Beck, Peter Jr and Fritts, Sarah Ann) was born on 12 Nov 1845 in Davidson County, North Carolina, USA; died on 9 Feb 1922 in USA; was buried in Downs Cemetery, Downs, Osborne County, Kansas, USA.
