News has been received here of the death of Joseph A. Fritts, member of the Roane county court for eighteen years and well-known citizen of that county, which occurred at his home on Clinch river. Deceased served as postmaster at Paw Paw Ford, Tenn., and at Emory Gap for a long time. He was a notary public for several years. Surviving him are his second wife, three sons and five daughters.
