| Lillie Little Wednesday, June 29, 2005 Daily Dunklin Democrat Lillie Jane Little, a retired hairdresser who owned and operated a beauty shop in Malden for over 40 years, died Friday, June 24, 2005, in Seguin, Texas. She was 86 years of age. Services will be held at Bradshaw Funeral Home located at 1005 South Madison in Malden at 10 a.m., Friday, July 1 with the Reverend Bob Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held at Bradshaw Funeral Home Thursday, June 30, beginning at 6 p.m. with family viewing at 5 p.m. Lillie was born May 7, 1919, in Bernie, Mo. to William John and Bertha Osborn Fritts. She married Earl Little on July 2, 1942 and together they had three children. Earl preceded Lillie in death, passing April 20, 1980. Lillie's surviving immediate family includes her oldest son, Leonard Little; daughter, Janie DuPlantis and her husband, Mike DuPlantis of St. Hedwig, Texas; and youngest son, Richard Little and wife, Bonnie Little of Adkins, Texas. Also six grandchildren, Scott Len Little of St. Louis, Mike Duplantis II, of San Antonio, Texas, Michelle DuPlantis Housley of Universal City, Texas, Kim Little Benavides of St. Hedwig, Texas, Tess Little Winkler of Hawaii and Richard "Bubba" Little, now serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in Iraq. Lillie also had five great-grandchildren, Brendon and Brittany Little, Graecen Housley, Canyen White and Hunter Benavides. In addition, Lillie is survived by two brothers, Harley Fritts of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Wilbur Junior Fritts, of Flint, Mich. Five brothers preceded Lillie in death; Orie, Edward, Curtis, Alphie and Herman Fritts. Three sisters preceded her in death; Mabel Hampton, Willie Mae Henderson, and infant, Edna Fritts. Lillie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; including one very special great, great, great nephew, Ryan Lehnig of Malden. She is also survived by a host of friends who became her extended family. Lillie will be remembered for so many things. Her home was always a safe haven for children of all ages. She helped so many people, touched so many lives with her kindness and generosity. Everyone who knew Little loved her. She was a loving mother not only to her own children but to those who came to love her as their second Mom. She was independent, forgiving and strong spirited. She loved Jesus, and counted everyone in her life as special blessings. Lillie was dearly loved by all her children, family and friends. Until the very end, Lillie was independent, sharp, witty and so proud to be a FRITTS.  | ||
