| MRS. ADA G. BOWERS Mrs. Ada Garrett Bowers, 82, 2012 Sherwood Drive, died Saturday night in Appalachian Christian Village. Mrs. Bowers was a native of Morgan County and was a registered nurse, having graduated from Fort Sanders of Knoxville in 1920. She worked as a surgical nurse at Johnson City Eye Hospital for 37 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Bowers was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Bowers. Survivors include three brothers, Charlie and Elbert Garrett, both of Morgan County, and Oliver Garrett, British Columbia, Canada; two sisters, Mrs. Dove Buxton, Morgan County, and Mrs. Ida Moore, Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. Woodall is in charge. | ||
