  	MRS. IDA G. MOORE Mrs. Ida Garrett Moore, 94, Appalachian Christian Village, formerly of 210 W. Unaka Ave., died in Johnson City Medical Center Hospital Wednesday morning following a short illness. She was a native of Morgan County and had been a resident of Johnson City since the early 1920s. She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Laura Jones Garrett and a graduate of the Knoxville General Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Moore was the first director of nursing at the old Appalachia Hospital in Johnson City. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary, particularly in work with crippled children. She had more than 9,000 hours of service at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Mountain Home. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Nolichucky Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Moore, in 1928. Survivors include one son, Arthur Moore, Alexandria, Va.; three brothers, Elbert and Charles Garrett, both of Morgan County, and Oliver Garrett, British Columbia, Canada; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Morris-Baker is in charge.
