- Obituary: Lexington - Bickett Wright, 83, of Cid Road, died July 16, 2000, at Community General Hospital in Thomasville.
He was born in Davidson County on June 26, 1917, a son of Arthur Bickett and Ida Lee Lambeth Bickett, and was a lifelong resident of Davidson County. He was a former co-owner of Cid Hosiery and was a member of Cid United Methodist Church. On March 30, 1940, he was married to Miss Mae Herman who survives of the home.
Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Brenda Cline of Thomasville; a son, Bicky W. Wright and wife, Lavonne, of Denton; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Cook of Asheboro and Miss Margie Wright of Lexington; a brother, Bruce Wright of Lexington; three grandchildren, Mrs. Steve (Sherri) Sarkady, Mrs. Bo (Kristi) Chitwood and Miss Deborah Wright; one great-grandson, Hayden Morris; and one step-great-grandson, Elliott Chitwood.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Cid United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alvin Pope and the Rev. Roger Weisner. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville until placed in the church at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Visitation will be 3-4 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service and other times at the residence.
