He worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for 18 years and retired from General Motors in 1970 when he moved from St. Louis to Poplar Bluff. He was born Feb. 7, 1905, at Imboden, Ark. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of the Tower Grove Baptist Church in St. Louis. On Nov. 16, 1924, he was married to Ruth Johnson in Rector, Ark. She survives. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Carl Pruett, of Rector, Ark.; one nephew and two nieces. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
